Ok so the Catalinbread website isn't bad like the Bloomberg site, but it just isn't quite right. I feel like I need to back up from my computer to see it all. It's crowded but not by beautiful stuff–not by useful stuff. This wouldn't be such a huge deal if it weren't Catalinbread.

Catalinbread makes beautiful stuff. Their pedals make guitars sound amazing and they obsess over the artwork.

Catalinbread's website just doesn't capture the consistent beauty of their products. The bold, clean designs of their pedals are lost to the washed out, spreadsheet purples and whites. Another problem is that Catalinbread is really a no-nonsense, handmade pedal company. When you go to the shop, it's just a handful of people building pedals. So, when I go to the website, where are the pedals? There's a picture of a Formula 55 on top of a Fender Amplifier. That's it.

Matching a website to a brand's artistic image might not seem like the biggest deal, but compare Catalinbread's website to their very high-end competitor Stymon's website http://www.strymon.net/. That whole site looks like a Strymon pedal. It almost makes me want to shell out $300 for a reverb pedal. Almost.
