Slows down my computer every time

I hate to say it because they're colleagues in the media, but KGW's website is pretty bad. My laptop constantly slows I leave a page open for too long. It's not uncommon for multiple videos to play at the same time. I single out for KGW, but I feel a lot of news media sites, including the O's website, can be just as bad at times.

I'd be curious what this site does in class, but here's an example:
