I like how this site, Ellevest, fills the screen with just enough color, images and information to make it feel manageable. You can see there are places to go for more information, but there isn't a ton of stuff everywhere competing for your attention. It also happens to be very direct in its appeal to women who are looking to invest.

Another good one: This portfolio site for Stephen Mengin is beautiful and fun. It does a good job of showcasing his work, and I like the movement and responses to scrolling and mouse action. I think the "info" button and text that emerges when you click it is a little hard to read, but I like the feel of the site overall.
