Provide non-async API

Hello,

First of all, thank you for this cool library!

I wonder if it's possible to provide non-async API for offsetting?
Looking at the code, I couldn't see why async is necessary here and unfortunately the Promises make it harder to use this library in our use-case that rely on synchronous control flow.
