disk cache? in case of network outage.

While looking through documentation, I did not find how to define a disk cache directory where data can be kept in case of network outage and collector cache it until network is back.

With some other proprietary collector tool, I used to define a specific directory/partition for this.
note: memory cache does not seem to return results eithers on repo or documentation.

The Collector currently does not have such a feature but the proposal in open-telemetry/community#2409 is seeking to add that.

I'm not sure that's the same. proposal is audit logging against tampering logs aka integrity. cache is more to ensure logs availability.
Where are logs stored before otel send them to exporters?
Even if no config, just ensuring enough space for matching folder/partition should be enough.
or does it just pick output and sent it without ensuring delivery? or just a memory cache. don't see anything approaching disk folder with lsof.
