I will also note that you can group providers (our term for what you have called "Connections") into "Projects". And don't miss the multi-window support for this kind of thing. As in, if you have a bunch of connections for one purpose (A) and a bunch for another (B), you can open up one window with project A and another with project B.

Of course, the application doesn't restrict you in that way, but it may be a convenient way to organize things.
