The new arm64 Linux runners have shown they can speed up workflows that rely on arm64, compared to using emulation. Some workflows that rely on launching VMs (e.g. for running non-Linux OSes) would also benefit from nested virtualization, speeding up use of arm64 VMs.
On traditional x86_64 Linux images, nested virtualization was requested and enabled here: actions/runner-images#7191
It would be awesome if arm64 could get the same!
