현재 한국에서 place 태그가 어떻게 사용되고 있는지, 그리고 각 place 태그의 원래 용도를 정리해 보았습니다. 추가로 도시 한가운데 있는 동에 place=village (면소재지급 마을) 태그를 붙이는 것과 같은 기준을 개선하고자 합니다. 의견이 있으시다면 자유롭게 올려 주세요.

I have summarized how place tags are currently used in South Korea and the original use of each place tag. Additionally, I would like to improve the criteria such as tagging place= village in the 'dong' in middle of the city. If you have any comments, please feel free to post them.

위 글을 올린 지 2달 가까이 지났으니 이제 슬슬 작업을 시작해 보는 게 어떨까 싶네요. 다만 기존의 place=village 태그가 법정동을 기준으로 등록되어 있다는 점에서 당초 제안과는 달리 place=quarter 태그를 행정동 대신 법정동에 사용하는 것도 나쁘지 않을 것 같습니다.

It's been almost two months since I posted the diary, so I think it's time to start working on it. However, since the existing place=village tag is used on on the legal dong, unlike the original proposal, it would not be bad to use the place=quarter tag in the legal dong instead of the administrative dong.

'마을' 개념에서 '도시의 한 구역' 개념으로 바뀌면서 저배율에서 동 이름이 표시가 되지 않는 모습니다. 사실 동은 서로 빽빽히 붙어 있으니 저배율에서 보일 필요는 없긴 합니다.

As the concept of the places has changed from "town" to "one part of the city," the name of the 'dong' is not displayed at low zoom. In fact, 'dong's are adjacent to each other, so it doesn't have to be seen at low zoom.
