I just did a search & couldn't find anything, so apologies if this has been raised before.
Is there any way of changing the location of the widgets on the screen?
When you are travelling & have the screen orientation set to the direction of travel, the top bar, turn indicators, & destination information (distance, ETA, speed etc) cover a lot of screen area, & often hide POIs that are coming up in front of you.
Setting the widgets to transparent does help a bit, but they are still obstructive.
Would it be possible to reverse their positions so that these widgets are on the bottom of the screen, thus hiding what you've already travelled past, & have the zoom buttons & distance scale up the top, which won't hide anywhere near as much?
This could possibly be made as an either / or setting, so individual users can have them set as they desire?
