Routing engine

  • OsmAnd's in-app offline routing
  • Any online routing provider (YOURS, openrouteservice, OSRM, etc.)

Routing Profile

OsmAnd in-app boat profile, default settings

Start and end points

Start: 41.23531, 9.19390
Finish: 41.24878, 9.19693

Actual route

The route is overland, not correctly plotted, both in the Plan a Route tool and offline Navigation

Expected route

The route is by water, as it should be.

Maps you used (online or offline)

  • Offline maps offered within the OsmAnd app for download.
  • Online (tile / raster) maps

Your Environment

OsmAnd Version: OsmAnd Nightly 5.0.0#4308m, released: 2025-02-04

The bug has been reproduced. To reproduce, follow these steps:

  1. Select the boat routing profile with default settings.
  2. Set the starting point to coordinates 41.23531, 9.19390.
  3. Set the ending point to coordinates 41.24878, 9.19693.
  4. Plot the route using the “Plan a Route” tool or the offline Navigation feature.

As a result, the route is being plotted overland, rather than along the water.

Expected behavior: The route should follow the water as intended for boat routing.

OsmAnd~ 5.0.0#4329m, released: 2025-02-07
