We are using pdfminer.six for convert tables in PDF (we using lattice and stream) and found that Thai characters has some issues that it cannot detect proper fonts event the fonts has glyphs that are in Private Use Area (PUA) of Unicode. We found that perhaps the computation of the boundary of each Thai character may need to address properly.
Therefore, we may need to ask if we can have feature to include some Thai fonts with pdfminer.six in future release.
BTW, if there will be any chances to have paid service for this feature, please let us know.
