Satellite Packages

At the moment we have two proposed naming schema for the satellite packages they are as follows.

• laminas-db-adapter-xxx
• laminas-db-mysql

Personally, I prefer laminas-db-mysql where that package contains code relevant to both extensions to reduce the number of packages and to isolate them based on the rdbms platform rather than by required extension.

Can everyone please respond with their thoughts so someone can create the required repo's since Simon is ready to move on this.

I went ahead and created them based on my preference since I knew to use the org template. Depending on the results of the discussion anyone can now update the names to reflect the decision.

I’m ok with this - I agree each sub package will have both Adapter and Platform components so the naming should be terser.

Did you mean Driver instead of Adapter?

Absolutely, I don't think they need parity with the main package.
