Tried this on a recent interview, it's really simple, which is great! However, the landing page makes it seem a bit more complicated than it really is. Throwing out some ideas to try to improve it:

  • The upload or paste could take up more of the screen, since it's the biggest part of the process.
  • The input fields about the scenario and YAML file names could be a bit simpler.
  • we mention that you'll need to edit it multiple times, but from this info alone, it's not clear what you'll need to edit. You need the full docs for that (which we link to already, and could move to the end with a "Here are you next steps!")
  • The download full feature file should be more prominent, and copying the full contents should be the "advanced technique". It's a bit difficult to read the text and figure out what to do.

Would it be worth asking whether the user wants the full feature file vs just the scenario that they can add to an already existing file?

[A lot of great ideas, btw]

I was trying to think of ways to not overwhelm new users by making it seem like the main choice. If you have a feature file already, you'll know a bit more than someone going to that page the first time.
