Problem to Solve

Currently the WordPress REST API does not support metadata queries at all.
While this is a core issue it would be nice to support Pods fields in the core REST API endpoints.

Proposed Solution

Support the following hook: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/hooks/rest_this-post_type_query/
