Invalid face error

When I try to load the Emacs Writing Studio profile, I get the error message: Error loading autoloads: (error Invalid face shadow). I am using Emacs 30.1 downloaded yesterday from the GNU Emacs for Mac OS page. https://emacsformacos.com/. I copied the init.el and ews.el files to a directory called ~/ews30. Most everything seemed to install on the first use, but I get the above error after restrating when trying to use the profile with the following alias:

ews='/Applications/Emacs30.1.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs --init-directory ~/ews30 --debug-init'

Hi Blaine,

I get the same error. I ran the init file line by line, but that does not replicate it.

Further research required. An invalid face will as far as I gather not block any functionality.

I confirm I was able to do work in EWS despite the error.
I was able to make several Denote note files.
