If unlock with Apple Watch doesn't work or make problems although using a BCM94360CD Fenvi
card, follow the steps of this blogpost comment: watchOS 7 Beta 5 - unlock mac doesn't work. Afterwards unlock with Apple Watch works like a normal Mac.
The latest version of Intel Power Gadget
(v3.7.0) is causing kernel panics when waking from sleep when using SMBIOS iMacPro1,1
. It doesn't happen with iMac20,2
SMBIOS, but the overall system speed is lower then. So monitoring of CPU frequency and speed stepping is not possible unless a new version of Intel Power Gadget
will be released.
When not using the latest BIOS it can happen, that RX 580 GPU is not recognized in first PCIe-Slot resulting in black screen. The solution is to change settings of PCIe_1 from Auto
to Gen 3
in BIOS (a working GPU is needed for this step). But it's recommended to update the BIOS to latest version, so the card is recognized automatically.
As some RX 570 GPUs only have one DisplayPort output, it's required to use another HDMI output to get a Dual-Monitor setup up and running. However using two different connection protocols might result in different color settings, like YCbCr
with HDMI and RGB
with DisplayPort. Color differences are not noticeable in daylight, but increase with NightShift at night times. Check LINKS.md for some hacks and workarounds or use a GPU with at least two DisplayPort outputs to connect both displays the same way.
If the Hackintosh is coincidentally waking up every time focus-settings changes on another device (e.g. iPhone or iPad) it is advisable to disable focus sync on the Hackintosh and all devices to avoid unwanted wakes from focus change.
