v12.beta1 - Rewatch doesn't build dev sources

3. See how changes in packages/sury/tests/ are not built by rewatch

I am having the same issue with dev dependencies not being built. I thought --dev would work too, but it doesn’t seem to.

If rescript-zora is put under bs-dev-dependencies, rewatch (v12's rescript) would have error like this:

  We've found a bug for you!

  The module or file Zora can't be found.
  - If it's a third-party dependency:
    - Did you add it to the "bs-dependencies" or "bs-dev-dependencies" in rescript.json?
  - Did you include the file's directory to the "sources" in rescript.json?
  

Here is the relevant part of rescript.json

  "bs-dependencies": [
  ],
  "bs-dev-dependencies": [
    "@dusty-phillips/rescript-zora"
  ]

If @dusty-phillips/rescript-zora is moved to bs-dependencies, the project would compile and run fine.

@dsiu thanks for this sample! I think I have an idea what is going wrong here.
Could you ensure the sample works with npx rescript legacy build. This falls back to our old system. I had a problem there with compiling the code. My guess is that the sample is missing a res file in src.

I think the default should be to build dev sources as it used to be.

My bad. Missed a res file in src. https://github.com/dsiu/rewatch-dev-deps-build-test/tree/main now compiles with npx rescript legacy build but fails with rescript build --dev.
