Bug Description
I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 Tiger that has previously run Lively with wallpapers that frequently reached 3840x2160 in terms of resolution. The previous configuration of this machine includes two hard disks, both are 500GB with one HDD and one SSD. Lively at that time processed wallpapers just fine with 60 fps for all wallpapers and literally no noticeable lagging in terms of performance, however after I went to change my disks into one single 2TB disk yesterday, everything changed. Regardless of what I do, wallpapers that are 3840x2160 previously now struggle to run on my machine at 60 fps and performance drops noticeably whenever the desktop is in focus. The only 1920x1080 wallpaper that I had in my stash ran just fine.

Additional Details

  • Even the 1920x1080 impacts the performance of other applications such as graphics tasks on Google Chrome which it did not before.

Desktop:

  • OS: Windows 11 V23H2/Build 22631.4890
  • 3840x2160 wallpapers in general.
