read.tilia(file) no longer works?

Hi,
Am trying to use the read.tilia() function but receive the following error message:
Error in data.frame(age.older = as.numeric(xml2::xml_text(xml2::xml_find_all(controls, :
arguments imply differing number of rows: 7, 1, 8

Is it because the tilia file should be formatted in a standard way? If so, could you tell which the requirements are to use the function?
