How to change display the day of week #19

I am using "ja" as locale But the day of week is not correctly
Which mean Monday is 月曜日., Tuesday is 3月. ... Sunday is 太陽.

How to change it to 月・火・水・木・金・土・日
And I wanna know how to increate number of week that it can be display on screen
