The plugin doesn't seem to work with anything different that JS files.

I tried with .module (drupal, php) and .css and .scss without any luck.
Is this on purpose? If yes maybe it should be documented.

Lines 8 through 15 show what filetypes it works for.

You could add something similar to your vimrc to make it work for other filetypes.
