Get manifest only

Instead of get_bundles() can there be a function to get_manifests() or similar to unzip() as
get_bundles(..., files = "manifest.json")?

I frequently get asked about package versions used by different apps, especially for our in-house R packages. Some bundles are filled with extraneous or very large files and it can make downloading these bundles very slow.
