Crates.io is awesome thank you all very much.
Suggestion
When I search for
'fserr'
I'd love to see'fs-err'
show up as a result, but I need to type'fs-err'
or'fs err'
, so I need to know which crates have word separators and which don't, this is specially hard to newcomers considering the amount of crates we need to know.Similarly, when I search for 'dbus', I want to see the crate 'zbus' show up because it has 'D-Bus' (with a hyphen) in it's description and it should be a match, well, it appears on the fourth page, it's a crate with 3.6 million downloads and I'm sorting by "relevance" so it would be nice to see it showing up on the first one. (to be fair, it is the first crate that appears after all other crates that have the exact "dbus" match in title or description, I believe that a hyphen shouldn't impact this, and it should be on the first page, same priority as the exact-matches, because hyphens and underscores are very unpredictable).
I was originally going to suggest zbus devs to change the crate description to have 'DBus' instead of 'D-Bus', but I think that ends up in the same problem, because if someone searches for 'D-Bus' it wouldn't show up.
