If my inverter is off at nights the Home Assistant Sensors hold their latest status.
I would prefer the sensors become ‘unavailable’ if the connection is dead.

Any thought on this?

I agree, I noticed this today myself.

The zendure integration has an automation, which resets values to 0 if no data was received for a certain amount of minutes. This could work here too for values like power, but for others like temperature, that would not work. So unavailable seems fine.
