Very short audio gaps at the start of video #130
Comments
Hi - is there any feedback on this issue? |
sorry for the late reply. i also have experienced this issue on almost any OS. weirdly the gap doesn't occur on a second try (at least most of the time ;)) so if i restart the same video again the audio is fine. i think this might be an issue with inputstream adaptive and/or ffmpeg. there's nothing i can do about it in the addon scope unfortunately. |
Thanks for the response. Do you know if it is possible to narrow down the issue and collect more info, so it can be reported to the right upstream developers? |
i think this only happens on drm content. attached you'll find a log file from streaming a live channel. on line 290 and 329 there are decryption errors which might cause this problem but i am not sure. |
Hi
I'd like to report an issue with this plugin that I have been having for a long time, i.e. also with older versions e.g. on Kodi 19 but also on the latest version. If I watch e.g. a news programme such as ZIB2 on ORF, in the first few seconds there is a short but noticable gap in the audio. This usually means that a part of a word spoken by the news speaker is skipped.
Steps to reproduce:
For clarification: the missing audio is not replaced by silence but cut out.
I can reproduce this both on Kodi on a Fire TV Cube as well as on my Android phone.
There is no noticable gap in the video, just the audio.
Unfortunately I do not know if the issue is in the addon or in Kodi but I only notice it with this addon. It does not occur when watching ORF with the ORF TVThek App or Joyn.
