GPU temperature limit not working

I set a temperature limit on the GPU via g helper, but it doesn't affect the temperature.(my laptop is tuf fa506nc and I am using the experimental version.)

HWinfo may be just not showing correct value, as Asus usually sets all it's limits on firmware level, so they are not readable on driver-level in apps like HWinfo.

• Try to run actual heavy GPU benchmark like Furmark and see if GPU drops power when it hits desired limit (80C)
• Also try to also check Apply under both Power Limits and Fan Curves. As this is how it works in Armoury - you can't set only one of the params, you can set all together under Manual mode there

@seerge So is there any way to set a temperature limit using ghelper?
CPU limit works very well, but GPU limit does not affect it. Can you update the application for this?

I have literally answered it above - if Silent mode in Armoury limits temp - Silent mode in G-Helper would do same.

When I put it in silent mode, the limit drops to 75 degrees, but in silent mode it is not set to 75 degrees, it does it automatically.

@LeventSao08 yes, cause apparently - it's just "hardcoded" in a Silent mode itself. You can't limit temp to a custom value on your device because in AC you don't even have a "Manual" mode where you could set those params independently

@seerge I made my settings in silent mode, but this time the GPU started to draw 50 watts.Is there a way to fix this?

Each mode has some hardcoded into firmware / BIOS CPU and GPU power limits.

For GPU - no :) also keep in mind that since you want to lower temp for GPU - it will use less power anyway. That's how things work
