Passing (a Map) result from one function call to another

Hi,

I'm trying to "chain" two separate function calls via prompting.

• Function/Tool A returns a `Map<String,String>' as part of it's response parameters.
• Function/Tool B accepts a `Map<String,String>' as part of it's request parameters.

The intent of the prompt is along the following lines:

• Call Tool A to generate & return metadata as key-value pairs
• Call Tool B with the metadata generated by Tool A

I can see the tool/function call for A gets invoked and generates and returns the expected data.
But I get the following error when the framework tries to invoke Tool B:

com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.exc.MismatchedInputException: Missing required creator property '[name of Map<String, String>property in Tool B's request parameters ]' (index 1)

Any obvious error/misunderstanding on my part?

If somebody has a working example for how to pass a Map from one function to another (Java code + Prompt) and wouldn't mind sharing some code snippets, that would be much appreciated.
