how can I insertContent to the editor from a different component?

I want to input a transcript and have GPT4 stream text into the editor. This is currently in a separate modal form. How can I const { editor } = useEditor(); if I can not easily keep the form inside the EditorRoot and EditorContent components?

I am following this pattern, but editor is null?
