Doesn't look like this is easy with django-pipeline unfortunately without manually gzipping them and uploading them, then setting AWS_IS_GZIPPED to True in the settings.

Something to look at for the future when I have time to write my own new compressor for django-pipeline, or possibly hook into the signals it sends out.
