Order places list by distance

The list of nearby places doesn't seem to follow any particular order.
It would be very useful if the list was ordered by distance (closest to 
furthest).

Also, while your at it would also be great if in the same places list there was 
some kind of tip indicating the places where we've checked-in before. Like a 
small icon on the venue.

they've decided not to do this (see Issue #203) although I've put in a feature 
request (Issue #207) to at least put this option in.  It seems trivial and 
obvious to implement.

until we do this, the Android Foursquare app will continue to be responsible 
for tons of duplicate venues because people can't find the venue they're 
looking for even though they're standing in it.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't find that issue in my search before 
creating this one.
This seems an obvious improvement to me. Stared Issue #207.
