Clicking user photo/icon to see full image is oddly slow (used to be faster)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click user image/icon
2. Wait...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should show user photo. It brings you to the gallery app (I think) then says 
something like loading album, takes a while where you just see black (on wifi 
or hspa+), eventually shows the full image. It does work, it just seems like it 
shouldn't take so long. It used to happen very quickly. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
foursquare 2010-10-14
android 2.2
