[FEATURE] Tag Cloud / Tag List on the CodeIT Homepage #162
Comments
Hi @andyjenkins1. It's a good idea. I will think about this. |
Sounds good, thank you! |
Hi, using the free space on the sides is a good idea. I was also thinking about the ability to integrate with Twitter (tweets from your own account) for instance but inflating the theme too much, can have a negative impact on the reader. This theme is beloved because it's slim and clearly arranged. |
+1 - This is a fantastic way to implement it!. Be great to see this in the CodeIT Theme, great spot!!. @victor-pogor please see link above for great example of Tags Cloud could be integrated both in the side menu and on the upper menus. Looks really good!. Be great to get your thoughts on this. |
Hi guys, I like this idea. I'll look at this but there is another issue that it needs to fix (#155). Sorry for the delay but I'm trying to resolve these issues after my main job and if I still have the strength to look at these items :). Sorry again. 🙂 |
No worries at all - and thank you for working on this in your own time!. |
What Andy said! No worries at all and we absolutely appreciate your efforts. |
It would be great if you could consider adding a toggle via config.toml that would allow you to display the tags on the homepage of the CodeIT screen. I was thinking if enabled it would push the content to the left of the screen (not centered) and then the Tag Cloud / Catogory Cloud appearing on the right hand side.
This could be done either a simple list which you could control with a parameter that stated how many to show (so it wouldn't get out of hand and only the top 10, top 20 display).
It would also be good to then surface to the top of the tag list the tags that have the most content.
I hope this helps and happy to provide more info if needed.
Keep up the good work!.
