Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
At the moment, the site mapping properties are set to //fqdn (without a protocol). This works in most cases, but some use cases require a proper protocol name.

Describe the solution you'd like
Make it possible to specify a default and a per-mapping value for the protocol, like "https".
