With me the check boxes when creating a new course are broken in Firefox 14.01 on Linux Mint Debian Testing edition. If I click them, nothing really happens.
If I can figure something out, maybe there is a pull request incoming. Let's see :-)
Cheers,
Tobi

I experience the same problem in Firefox 16 and Ubuntu 12.10. However, I introduced a feature lately that lets you circumvent this bug. When clicking just next to the radio-button (but still in the same table-cell) the value of the radio-button toggles.
This should help you getting started, but it isn't a bugfix.
It seems that Firefox doesn't like to select the checkboxes of newly created colums. If you stop editing courses and edit them again it works (Ubuntu 12.10, FF 19.0 here).
