Describe the bug

  • The Mainnet node ID 6865 status is displayed as "up" even though the internet package has been fully consumed 2 days ago.

Screenshots

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Fully consume the allocated internet package
2. Check the status of the node in the Dashboard from another connection.
3. Try any of the Deployments.

Expected behavior

  • The node's status should reflect the correct state, such as "Offline"

If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

The node still reachable through rmb, so I think it's able to send the uptime report, that explains the status of the node.

is the node still consuming the internet package abnormally after clearing all its workloads?

The Node is currently consuming approximately 5 GB per day after clearing the workloads.
What is the normal daily rate of internet consumption for ZOS Node without workloads?

@atefnazmy can you please tell me how you measured the internet consumption on the node? I can try to lunch a node and monitor it's consumption to check what is the average consumption in a day

I have done several tests over more than one week using a dedicated router just for this Node, (two different internet service providers: one from TE Data and the other was Orange Home 4G) to investigate unexpected internet data consumption, as follows:

  1. Turned off the wireless feature on the router to ensure no Wi-Fi devices were connected.
  2. Connected a single server to the router using the LAN cable port.
  3. Monitored data consumption through the ISP's website over a period of 24 hours.

Today, I deployed a full virtual machine with a GPU for testing purposes, which consumed 15 GB of data.

any Idea how much other nodes consumes in the same cases? I'm not able to access this node, it doesn't expose any IP other than it's local ip, I tried a workaround and I'm not able to access it as it's not in one of our managed farms(1, 79, 77, 76)

@atefnazmy can u plz boot this node in freefarm so we can have ssh access on it? just for testing then return it back to ur farm after @Eslam-Nawara done with her test

  • I cannot access this node any more, I was able to last wednesday, but can't access it anymore.
  • this node doesn't expose any ips only the local ip 192.168.20.2 and the workaround is not working anymore

Like I said here it sounds like the node can reach the internet even though it fully consumed the internet package so it will be able to report as up as long as it can reach the internet

can we close this issue then? @atefnazmy
