Please don't link that document. It's very outdated. Honestly you should give a look at the MAME source code (but AFAIK, not even MAME has fully-accurate SPG sound). |

I would love to see support for the SunPlus SPG2xxx sound chip, as I think it may be really interesting to play around with. From what I have seen, it is basically a PCM chip with 16 channels (double that of the SNES), and IMA ADPCM support (used for the Vtech V.Smile and plug-n'-play TV game systems).
One quirk that interests me is that there is no loop end point for a looped sample. You can only set a loop start point, and that's it. The "loop end" is just the end of the sample.
