I have experienced the bug in #13 more and more frequently recently. Now 90%+ of the time I apply thprac to th18, The font is displayed as white rectangles, just as the image in #13:

Someone on Stack Overflow suggested that alpha blending of Imgui might not worked properly (link), but without a log, I can't confirm that.

Documentation in Imgui has some configuration to work around, but I only know how to apply those to the thprac window, but not the in-game thprac UI.

According to the link before and issue #13, I've tried the following methods, with none of them can improve the success rate significantly:

  • Changing the IME to English (US) or Microsoft Japanese IME;
  • Changing the rendering method to dot-by-dot or fullscreen;
  • Moving th18 from one monitor to another;
  • Applying th18 from a specific in-game location (e.g. main screen, practise mode).

I'm running th18, thprac on a Windows 11 Pro computer with a 4060.

Sometimes the whole UI is transparent and nothing can be seen. Sometimes when applying thprac onto th06, a similar bug appeared: all the characters were displayed as rectangles, but the colour was not pure white, but a blend of black and red. The bug in th06 is kind of rare, so I have no screenshot of it yet.
