Unable to get a plugin to work: editor not applying decorations until I "click" the elements

hello ! I'm working on a very similar plugin to highlight text on the editor. It works but I need to manually click each element in order for the decorator to appear. I need to say this plugin renders the leaf in a special way and I believe here is where it fails.

So I guess my question is: am I missing something in order to trigger the rendering of the leaf? I have followed the same "useMemo" approach and a state (and other mechanisms as well) but so far no luck.

I think I was using an older version of plate. It's working now

Yes, it required a fix in both slate-react ( 0.74.2+, ianstormtaylor/slate@1b205c0 ) and plate (10.2.3+, #1426) .
