Mention - trigger text and inserting space

Hello,

We are missing two features for the mention plugin. I saw them already on the discussion board but I cannot decipher what is their status (are they implemented already, how to enable them...):

1. We would like to disable hiding the mention trigger text -> Mention hide the Trigger text #1827
2. We would like to insert a space after inserting a mention -> Mention Plugin should offer to auto insert a space after inserting a Mention #491

Can anybody help me with implementing these features? Are they already included in the library and if yes how do we enable them? If no, is there some way to implement them ourselves?
