What problem are you facing?

It looks like Azure is deprecating MariaDB support.

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/products/mariadb

Azure Database for MariaDB will be retired on 19 September 2025, please migrate to Azure Database for MySQL Flexible Server.

How could Upbound help solve your problem?

It will required underlying https://github.com/upbound/configuration-azure-database/ update with the switch to MySQL flexible server
