Before reporting your issue

  • I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
  • I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled
  • I have tried my best to check existing issues

Repro ExplorerPatcher versions

Version 22621.4317.67.1

Repro Windows Versions

Windows 11 23H2, OS Build 22631.4830

3rd party tweak software installed

Wallpaper Engine

Describe the bug

Issue 1:

  1. Install EP 22621.4317.67.1.
  2. Set secondary taskbar location on screen to either Left, Top, or Right.
  3. Restart computer
  4. Observe that the secondary taskbar has been reset to the bottom.

Expected outcome

Maintain selected secondary taskbar location for as long as the setting is set.

Actual outcome

Secondary Taskbar reverts to Bottom location after restart.

Additional info

When setting a secondary taskbar to a location other than Bottom, the taskbar defaults back to Bottom after computer restart, despite no settings changes. I have to change the secondary taskbar location on screen setting to something else then change it back and restart explorer to fix.

I do have it enabled that's why I didn't check it.

The issue still occurs.

As part of filing a report for an issue, we require you to disable "register as shell extension". That is why that is there.

Please wait for a developer to respond.
