Trying to use the File System API

I am trying to use the file system API. I have my ENV set as described in the docs.

But when I push the following, that already includes a .output folder and also disables the build command in project settings. Nothing is output.

Even the .output/static/ content isn't found and it does not seem that the File System API is being respected.

Turns out that even if you are not using node, you need a package.json.

Even if you just have a build command that is a placeholder, Vercel will skip it if a .output directory already exists.

Not sure if we can get package.json to not be required in the future.
