The theme does not apply on Microsoft Edge (downloaded from the Software application as a Flatpak version). I did use the -l option during installation, and Edge's theme is correctly set to "GTK Theme".

sudo flatpak override --filesystem=xdg-config/gtk-3.0 && sudo flatpak override --filesystem=xdg-config/gtk-4.0
