The concept of Monitor admins is OK for the experimental phase (which is indeed a great success). But now that more and more people are interested in using Monitor, it might be a good idea to create user accounts and allow users to create their own monitors. I understand that this is asking for trouble (how do you share monitors that already exist, how do you manage groups of users and groups of monitors) but I can't see how we could really share the task of monitoring routes among many contributors otherwise.
An alternative might be to just have users subscribe to existing monitors for notifications, but then the burden of creating and organizing monitors would reside with admins and you'd end up having to manage admins anyway.
