Although maps of sub-relations are very useful, they sometimes lack context when studying the connection between subrelations.
It would be great to have maps for super-relations, where their members would show with a color or line dashing code that represents their roles: alternatives, excursions, etc. Ideally, the color or pattern mapping would be configurable from the left part of the Knooppuntnet window.
Actually, this could also apply to relations that directly contain ways, with the same mapping for roles (including forward/backward).

Colored by sub relation (fake stages here and only yellow color)
Here route zoomed to Perros-Guirec (maps should be "merged", each stage with a different color).
A "dot" could be displayed at each "junction" with a label displayed (from and to tags values).
(combined suggestion of StC and pyrog39)
