[IDEA] netflix and/or airplay #84
Comments
AirPlay would be something easier to start. First you have Moonlight to stream screen on your computer, and IHSplay (which is in early stage testing) to stream desktop via Steam. Also you can get a bunch of open source implementation for porting, like this UxPlay. For Netflix, it would be harder, sometimes it's as easy as copy the binary to run on your project, while sometimes it would be nearly impossible, as it requires proper DRM support to stream. |
If it didn't come with Netflix, there was probably no |
I'd love to have Airplay on my SK7900PVBg. I'm going crazy without it. Related issue: FDH2/UxPlay#389 |
You can probably compile it but it wouldn't work. You need to make it use wayland and since airplay uses H264/5 you have to use the webOS APIs to hardware decode it. You probably can use ss4s to do the heavy lifting for hardware acceleration. |
I have no idea what that means or entails. Oof. I'm in for a ride. |

Hello,
recently I bought an LG PF610P projector and noticed that it does not has the Netflix app on it, but it does have Amazon Prime, Disney+ etc. The big brother HU810P got the app after an update.
Then there is the HU70LS, which has the app, but does not have AirPlay.
Now to the idea. I saw that there is an add free YouTube app.
Would it be possible to create something equal for the Netflix app? I mean, to download the app on devices, which don't support the app?
Maybe a bit harder, the idea to bring AirPlay to the devices, which don't have AirPlay?
If there is any way to achieve one of the goals quickly, with an tutorial or something like that, that would be enough for me :)
