Problem after switch reboot

Having a TOUGHswitch with an access point and a cloud key connected, the switch unexpectedly rebooted (probably a power outage). After this, all devices came up again, but the switch remained hanging in a failed adoption state.

Not sure if this always happens, just saw this once.

Would it be a good idea to check controller connectivity before attempting to announce or inform?

Rebooting the cloud key didn't pose a problem (it showed one of two switches as not connected for a short while, but that disappeared by itself).
