Dimenional doors, Essential

Please describe the issue you are experiencing

A friend and mine are having a bit of an issue with Dimensional doors and its dungeon generation. We go into the dungeons and go deeper. after going though the dungeon and going though some doors we get the message " There was a problem teleporting you. please report this bug". After that we either get always the same rooms we had before (Which can lead to infinite dungeons) or we just cannot enter any other door ever. is there a fix for this? We are also using essential for multiplayer but I doubt that that would cause issues.

Can you provide the game log from the session you got that error?
You can also try manually updating Dimensional Doors to this version and see if it resolves it.

As a little question since this is one of my first times reporting this sort of stuff: Is this like a file that I would need to send or is it a technic console log while playing? And if, what would be the file path for that Log? Sorry if it seems stupid 😅. Thanks in advance :)

No worries, I'm referring to \logs\latest.log from the modpack installation folder of the client that is hosting the server:

  1. Select the MODPACKS tab, then click on Hexxit II
  2. Click on Modpack Options ⚙ in the top right corner
  3. Click on Open at the top right corner of the pop-up window

Okay im just going to send you the debug and the latest log from the last singleplayer session in Hexxit where I reproduced the bug:
latest.log
debug.log

I hope that this is going to help find the issue. If there is any update or anything that I can still do on my end then just tell me :)
Btw sorry for being a little late on answering the message. Had some things to sort out on my end xD

@Salamyyy I've asked the author in Discord, in the meantime could try a couple of things?

  • Try manually updating Dimensional Doors to this version (by downloading it and replacing the existing version in the mods folder) and see if that resolves it.
  • Try removing the Essential mod and see if that resolves it.

I can definetly say that essential is not the cause since ive reproduced this bug without essential in the modpack. I can look at getting the newer version and testing it real quick. Ill get back to you in just a bit.

would any sort of config reset that need to be changed to basically have the old experience with..... lets say.... number of DD dungeons in a newly generated world since the mod version has been changed? xD

@Salamyyy There shouldn't be a need to change the configuration of the mod upon updating it?

Yea I made a basic world and I guess I was just unlucky cause then I made superflat and tested there xD

Okay updated the version but the same thing happens again when testing it. Here is the new log:
latest.log
debug.log

@Salamyyy Can you try this test build by @TheComputerizer (with these changes) and see if that resolves it?

Okay ive tested it for a while now with me going into one dungeon like very very deep and I think it got fixed in that experimental version. Soooo yaaayyyyyy. That is finally over xD.
Thank you very much for your help still :)

Will be included in the next Hexxit II update :)

Is there something that I could add btw?
Is there any way to have some sort of villagers that are able to trade Tinker Construct Ingots? That would be incredible for my inner ocd of those Items collecting dust in storages xD

I'm not sure, but you can ask people over the Discord server: https://discord.com/invite/technic
