There is no current way to limit the number of autocomplete dropdown items through some configuration. Instead, you must use CSS to display: none some options. Is it possible to have a configuration option to limit (or possibly increase) the autocomplete selection options?

@creotutar where did this request come up? in general, we'd rather the user update his/her autocomplete options in the server-side config, instead of trying to limit frontend. is there a reason that approach doesn't work here?
