Zed Agents 🤖

While other AI base IDE are implementing Agents into theirs embedded deep into their system and maintain those agents themselves, i propose an open agents feature that can be built and maintain by users these agents will have these characteristics :

• Easy to deploy options are install agent into zed through github link, or zed provide a host for collection of agents made by users.
• Agents interaction agents can interact with zed AI chat, so whenever user need an agent to be active it can be called as tool call in zed AI chat
• Agents control as agent can interact with zed IDE such as update files, delete files, execute functions, etc.
• Agent orchestrator while the feature built then Zed AI chat will be able to do agents orchestration in future which are calling agents to do things, passing around agents output into another agents and controlling agents workflows which agents run first etc.

with this user can have many agents such as MCP server agent, or even the silly YouTube transcription Agent to fetch some rare doc only found made by some channel.

and in future these agents can work side by side in parallel or in sequential.
